Legally Armed In Detroit (L.A.I.D.) Personal Protection Awareness Day
FREE Shooting Lesson For 300 Women - Sunday, May 17th, 2015
Legally Armed In Detroit (LAID) is offering a FREE shooting lesson for 300 women interested in learning how to safely handle, load, and operate a semi-automatic handgun. A 9mm handgun, ammunition, range time, and a coach will be provided to you FREE of charge.
This training will NOT qualify you for a Concealed Pistol License (CPL). If you wish to acquire a CPL, you should strongly consider enrolling in a CPL Class at our web site: Rick's Firearm Academy of Detroit
If you already own a firearm, you may legally transport it (in accordance with state law) and use it for the shooting exercise. If your firearm is not chambered in 9mm, you will need to bring ammo for it.
Interested women are strongly encouraged to register for this event as soon they can confirm their ability to commit to this FREE event. The FREE shooting lesson is strictly limited to 300 women. Please do not sign up for this event if there is a possibility that you can't attend and thusly deprive another person of this opportunity.
Interested participants need to sign up for only ONE session. Sessions are available in two hour blocks of time: 10am - 12pm, 12pm -2pm, and 2pm - 4pm. If you are late for your session, your spot may be given to someone else. However, any person who arrives late MIGHT be able to shoot in a later session, depending on availability.
Each registrant will only be allowed to reserve one spot in only one of three sessions.
Registration for this event will only be conducted over the Internet. We do not have the manpower to conduct manual registrations over the phone.
Your participation in this event gives us your implied permission to use photos of you taken during the event for promotional purposes.
All registrants will also be subscribed to a Personal Protection Newsletter.
This event will be held at the Target Sports III Gun Range - 22509 Ecorse Rd, Taylor, Michigan.
This event was subsidized by complimentary range access by the Target Sports III Gun Range, free ammo donated by Michigan Gun Owners, Michigan Open Carry, and SERP, and firearms access provided by followers. NRA credentialed Firearm Instructors and NRA RSOs and other volunteers will be donating their time to help conduct the event.
