Take your athleticism to a higher level at the BA training KB workshop
CF Silver Spring is excited to host Clifton Harski of BA training as he conducts the Be Athletic workshop on October 24th. This workshop is for all athletes, whether they be martial artists, basketball players, or CrossFitters. Athleticism is comprised of strength, power, stability, mobility, balance, agility and coordination and in this workshop you will learn unique and effective drills to better develop those attributes. You are guaranteed to leave this workshop with drills and tools that you will want to implement immediately!
-manipulation of "load" in various stances
-ability to produce power/strength in unilateral and asymmetrical positions
-ability to produce power/strength in closed chain situations: both pulling and pushing
-ability to place the body in loaded positions which challenge mobility and tissues -ability to go from low level to high level (seated to standing)
-ability to resist movement by the body
-ability to move at a low level
-body control on the ground
This workshop will address these needs through targeted drills selected to produce maximal results. These drills are not intended to "recreate" specific instances in a fight. You cannot recreate in-fight scenarios, you can only prepare the body as best as possible for unpredictable situations through varied drills.
630-730 Ground movement, level changes, and mobility work
730-830 Unilateral/Asymmetrical drills focusing on Power: split stance DB snatch, reverse lunge leg thread clean, clean bell catch & press.
**all of these drills have easier versions which can/will be taught at the workshop-so do not be intimidated by the titles!
