New York City's most talented young women will be competing for the title of Miss Black Manhattan on September 19, 2009 at the La Tea Theater on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

The Miss Black Manhattan Scholarship Program is designed to develop, celebrate, and assist with the educational goals of African-American women.

The winner will use her civic platform to not only promote awareness of the issues we face in our community, but to also inspire and motivate our future leaders.
