StudyEdge Secondary is a course in study skills that begins with a dynamic and inspiring half-day seminar. The StudyEdge course introduces secondary school students (13-18 years) to the study techniques used by top performing students.  It teaches independent study skills and inspires positive attitudes that can transform academic performance. 

This New Zealand course particularly focuses on the skills needed for revising and preparing for NCEA, Cambridge, IB and scholarship exams and completing major assignments.

This seminar is presented by Dr Bruce Johnstone, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the UK-based university academic who created the StudyEdge course. He introduces students to StudyEdge learning resources designed to support students of different levels of ability in the development of excellent study techniques.

The course aims to empower students to:
