This annual fundraiser, known as “The Taste,” is a popular community event to benefit the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which provides multi-year college scholarships and mentoring to underprivileged students who have overcome adversity and dream of going to college.

In a “Taste Of” format, all for one price, guests will have the unique opportunity to sample the cuisine of over a dozen fine dining restaurants and caterers, ranging from iconic favorites to trendy hotspots. From French to Chinese, nouveau to classics, there will be something to excite everyone’s taste buds and opportunities to try new styles.  Examples of restaurants for the 2012 Taste of Elegance: The Capital Grille,  Chamberlain’s, Yao Fuzi,  Ziziki’s, Roy’s, Brio’s Tuscan Grille, Half Shells, Seasons 52, Lavendou, Whiskey Cake, Zanata, and Red’s Patio Grill.  A complete list of restaurants is posted on www.tasteofelegance.org . 

New this year is the “Decadent Desserts Showcase” in which a special gourmet dessert section will be featured.

The 2012 featured guest speaker is Brian McCall, Chancellor of the Texas State University system and former Texas state representative.
