Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop

that participants in the Advanced Workshop will be introduced to transversus
abdominis plane (TAP) blocks which are instrumental in controlling acute pain
associated with a variety of abdominal surgeries as well as the fascia iliaca
compartmental block, adductor canal approach to the saphenous nerve, obturator
nerve block, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block, and the paravertebral nerve
block. Cadavers will be utilized for
needling, administration of block medium, and catheter insertions.
Participants are encouraged to be fluent in Basic Ultrasound-Guided techniques (minimum 50 Ultrasound-Guided anesthetics performed) before registering for the Advanced
Workshop. The cost is $795.
